A Midlands Odyssey: with Natalie Haynes
October 7 @ 8:00 pm – 9:30 pm
| £8 / £6
Homer’s Odyssey is often claimed to be the great founding work of western literature. Three thousand years on, the story of Greek hero, Odysseus, and his epic journey home to Ithaca after the Trojan War continues to inspire and enthral: shipwrecks and sirens, revenge and seduction, gods and mythical
creatures, it’s got it all.
A Midlands Odyssey is a collection of tales from the Odyssey, commissioned by Writing West Midlands and published by Nine Arches Press. Each tale has been set in the Midlands, and given new life by local writers.
I’m not aware of being in this book? Although I am in the Festival. I was commissioned to write a comic strip and will be finishing it off over the festival whilst the very talented artist, Anya Jung, completes the art work. http://www.birminghamliteraturefestival.org/event/raven-qa-with-the-artists/ Garrie Fletcher

No, you’re not: my mistake, sorry. I’ve taken your name off. I’ll put something up about your appearance though, Al.
Cheers Al.
